What Can I Expect at my Appointment
You can expect approximately 40 minutes to relax, read or do absolutely nothing. The Fat Calvi-Lipo treatment is completely painless, non-invasive and totally safe. As long as you exercise and drink lots of water, the treatment should be permanent. You may experience a warm sensation in the treatment area and may hear a light vibration or “ringing” during the process.
Who Can't Have Cavi-Lipo Treatments
People who have high blood pressure, cancer, receiving chemotherapy, wear a pacemaker, have a metal implant near the treatment site (such as an artificial hip), anyone under 18 years old, woman who are menstruating, pregnant or breastfeeding (after breastfeeding has stopped it is an excellent treatment for getting rid of the "mummy tummy" fast). Fat cavitation may not be as effective on people with diabetes or thyroid disorders where the metabolic system is potentially impaired. If in any doubt please ask your doctor.
How the Ultrsonic Cavitation and Radio Frequency Treatments Work.
How does Ultrasonic Cavitation or Calvi-Lipo work?
This treatment is completely painless, there is sometimes a mild heat sensation similar to a hot stone massage and you may hear a slight ringing throughout the ultra sound treatment. Neither of these minor side effects are uncomfortable. The Ultrasonic Cavitation machine uses ultrasonic sound waves to disrupt the fat cell walls by cavitation, which causes the fat cells to leak their contents into the fluid spaces of the body. From there the lymphatic system picks up the waste material (the loose or liquid fat) and carries it to the liver, which is then eliminated with sweat and through the kidneys and bowels.
The results may be visibly noticeable immediately, and will continue to work over the next 2 - 3 days as the body processes and removes the fat cells. It is recommended that you do 30 minutes daily exercise (brisk walk, run or swim) after the treatment, and drink lots of water before and after treatments to help the body flush out the loose fat cells and maximize the outcome. Because your liver and kidneys are working hard to eliminate the released fat from the body, it is recommended you also limit your carbohydrates, caffeine and alcohol intake over the next 2 - 3 days.
How does Radio Frequency Work
Radio frequency is used for skin tightening and is painless. This will result in skin tightening and lifting without injection or surgery on the area being treated for fat. The results are a firmer, refreshed and more youthful appearance of the treatment area, especially good for wrinkles and cellulite. The heat generated by the RF waves shrinks the bundle of collagen under the skin. The collagen becomes shorter and the skin tightens. This keeps happening for the next 2 -3 days after treatment.
